Requirements
Job Purpose
To oversee the finance function in the areas of:
- Group financial reporting for external and internal stakeholders
 
- Group financial planning and analysis
 
Job Responsibilities
Consolidation and financial reporting
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of Group financials, including subsidiaries
 
- Preparation of Board papers, related party transactions, non-audit fees, annual audit fees, dividend, and ad-hoc financial reporting
 
- Review of non-property development Joint Venture and associate financials
 
- Setting/updating group accounting policies on new transactions and standards
 
- Ensuring compliance with MFRS, group policies, and Companies Act through regular reviews
 
- Addressing internal and external stakeholder requests
 
Financial planning & analysis
- Preparation of annual operating plan, mid-year review, and monthly forecasts
 
- Monitoring and reporting variances between actual performance and budgets
 
- Preparation of GCFO statement, management discussion & analysis for annual report and AGM
 
Board/Committee roles
- Board member of non-Property Development subsidiaries and JVs
 
- OC and exco member of non-Property Development subsidiaries and JVs
 
Corporate proposals/project/operational support
- Providing input on financial reporting implications
 
- Reviewing financial assessments for group tender committees
 
Impact / Accountability
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for decision-making
 
- Compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
 
- Enhancing information availability for management decisions
 
Education Qualification/Professional Experience
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
 
- Member of ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CIMA, CPA, or MIA
