About the role

MITIME CONSTRUCTION MALAYSIA SDN BHD' is hiring a full‑time General Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of our Kota Kinabalu, Sabah office. The General Manager will drive strategic direction, growth, operational efficiency and profitability.

What you’ll be doing
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the Kota Kinabalu‑based team.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including project management, financial management and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor and report on the company’s performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven track record of successful leadership experience, preferably in the construction or related industry.
  • Excellent strategic and operational management skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and driving profitability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
