Responsibilities
- Fully in charge of overseeing and coordinating all operations for the branch(s) within Malaysia.
- Oversees all operational aspects including workshop & production operations, customer service, human resources, administration, and sales.
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
- Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.
- Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately.
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
- Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
- Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration.
- Liaise with other branches to share strategies.
- Prepare a monthly review report to General Manager (Singapore) for HQ Review Meeting.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations (e.g. Companies Act, labour laws, environmental standards).
Requirements
- Minimum Degree qualification. Prefer with minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-based industries and with at least 2 years in a senior management or departmental head role.
- Ability to manage, develop and grow existing customer base with Sales team.
- Strong communication skills are essential (verbal, non-verbal, written).
- Dynamic, resourceful & result oriented.
