Job description
Responsibilities
  • Fully in charge of overseeing and coordinating all operations for the branch(s) within Malaysia.
  • Oversees all operational aspects including workshop & production operations, customer service, human resources, administration, and sales.
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.
  • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration.
  • Liaise with other branches to share strategies.
  • Prepare a monthly review report to General Manager (Singapore) for HQ Review Meeting.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations (e.g. Companies Act, labour laws, environmental standards).
Requirements
  • Minimum Degree qualification. Prefer with minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-based industries and with at least 2 years in a senior management or departmental head role.
  • Ability to manage, develop and grow existing customer base with Sales team.
  • Strong communication skills are essential (verbal, non-verbal, written).
  • Dynamic, resourceful & result oriented.
  • Good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Constantly striving to offer the highest levels of customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, customers and the general public.
  • Willing to travel within or out of Malaysia in short notice as and when necessary.
