Job summary

JDE Peet's is seeking a GL Specialist to manage all accounting activities for the FEC, serving as a point of contact for Controlling, HR, Tax and corporate functions. The role supports multiple units including Branded Consumer, Food Solutions, and Operations, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and statutory compliance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, with at least 5 years of finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (or related field).
• MIA member (nice to have).
• At least 5 years in professional experience in finance, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS and compliance.
• Structured approach with strong communication and ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Support Marketing & Sales and Manufacturing in accounting activities.
• Liaise with external service providers for outsourced accounting activities.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheets IFRS and statutory reporting statements.
• Ensure accuracy and timely reporting and data provision.
• Provide analytical support and conduct variance analysis.
• Maintain internal control compliance and report on expenses.

Job description

The GL Specialist is handling all Accounting activities of the FEC. This include various tasks which are the basis for Corporate and statutory reporting as well as legal requirements. He/she acts for specific topics as a contact for the Controlling departments of Branded Consumer, Food Solutions, Food Ingredients and Operations (MU’s), local HR, local Tax people as well as Corporate functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES:

• Support Marketing & Sales Unit and Manufacturing Unit in accounting activities
• Liaise with external service provider for relevant outsourced accounting activities
• Timely and adequate monthly creation and reporting of P&L, balance sheets IFRS and set up of financial reporting statements according statutory accounting rules
• Process accurately.
• Provide analytical support and data.
• Work in a timely and consistent manner.
• Apply and check against standard company procedures.
• Prepare reliable forecasts and track and report on variances in the process.
• Analyze issues and risks that require additional investigation by performing thorough analysis in conjunction with project teams.
• Executes ad-hoc analyses for business needs and/or pro-actively.
• Maintain fully compliance to internal control framework.
• Control and report on operational expenses of the clustered shared services team.

Qualifications

• Academic Program: Bachelor’s Degree inAccounting/Finance(or related field).
• MIA member (nice to have)
• Experienced:At least 5 years in professional experience in finance, preferably similar role in manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Skillset:
• Working experience with relevant controlling background
• Knowledge of IFRSand compliance
• Knowledge of SAPR3 and SAP BPC preferred
• Knowledge on statutory reporting and regulations requirements
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
