Job summary

Air Liquide in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Intercompany Manager to oversee intercompany accounting, the monthly close, and consolidation reporting. You will ensure Local GAAP and IFRS compliance, supervise a team of 4+ members, and drive improvements in AP/AR intercompany workflows.

Collaborate across SSC functions, monitor compliance, and support centralization initiatives while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5–8 years in SSC finance & accounting is expected.
• Leadership experience managing at least 4 team members.

Intercompany Manager oversees intercompany accounting functions, financial close processes, compliance, and process optimization for the APAC region.

What will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

• Financial Reporting & Close: Leading monthly close processes, managing intercompany imbalances, preparing consolidated financial reports, and performing Local GAAP to IFRS reconciliations.
• Accounting & Controls: Overseeing AP/AR intercompany transactions, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and group internal controls.
• Process & Team Management: Leading process optimization, managing a team of at least 4 members, supporting centralization initiatives, and acting as a knowledge owner for IRIS reporting.

Are you a MATCH?

• Education & Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5-8 years of experience in an SSC finance & accounting environment.
• Minimum of 4 team members of people management experience.

• Professional Knowledge : Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, local, and international accounting standards.
• Familiarity with full accounts payable processes (e.g., payment, invoice, staff claims) is preferred.
• Strong ability to comment on company performance based on financial statements.

• Key Capabilities : Ability to connect with the entire SSC organization to understand the full processes of different functions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong customer relationship skills.
• Possess strong team player qualities, take initiative, and demonstrate ownership of assigned duties.
• Demonstrate evidence of continuous improvement contributions in current or previous employment history.
• Good experience participating in migration projects.
