The General Ledger Manager will oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This role requires expertise in accounting and finance to support the organization's operational goals.

Description

Your main job duties will include;

  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and assistance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve department objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Profile

A successful GL Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
