Role and Location

Reporting to the Middle Office Accounting Manager, the Middle Office accounting senior analyst is responsible for a range of Middle Office accounting and valuations activity, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, policies and guidelines and timely completion of accurate Net Asset Valuations. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in Middle Office accounting with proven Middle Office accounting skills, and the ability to ensure all deliverables within the Service Level Agreements are met. They will have a strong “hands on” operational focus and is expected to optimize effectiveness and efficiency in operational delivery. We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Fund Accounting Analyst 2 - C10 - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: - Fund Accounting Analyst 2 - C10 (Hybrid) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of business activity financial statements, distribution calculations and tax returns
• Preparation of financial statements, APRA and ABS regulatory reporting
• Reconciliation of accounting to taxable income
• Perform other daily and monthly activities as required adhering strictly to established procedures, controls and checklist
• Review & resolve aging break items and breaks over a certain dollar threshold
• Review procedures & controls
• Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods
• Support process improvement activities
• Assist the team manager in audit queries, client queries, and risk related items
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business studies/technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences (must have financial reporting knowledge)
• Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area
• Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management
• Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
