Job summary

Capcon Asia is seeking a Front end / Full Stack engineer specializing in Angular with optional Node.js work. The team is based in KL, Malaysia, with hybrid in-office and remote collaboration with EU product managers.

The role targets senior developers capable of architecting, building, and delivering data-intensive customer-facing applications. You will work on mature products, contribute to new features, and mentor junior developers while aligning with an entrepreneurial Europe-Malaysia

• Design webpages that elegantly displays a substantial data, making it easily comprehensible to everyone
• Coach & mentor junior developers - conduct code reviews and lead by example
• Identify technical risk throughout Systems development life cycle and suggest mitigation options

Responsibilities

Team Org & Culture

• Reporting to either the head of engineering who has relocated from EU to Malaysian or a technical lead
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious team from Malaysia and Europe, which include ex management consultants
• The engineering hub in KL (15 staff) supports software development, data engineering and analytics

Must Have

• 5 + years Angular
• TypeScript

Nice to have

• Node.js / Nest.js
• Micro front end (MFEs) / Monorepos
• Docker, Kubernetes, and (AWS)
• 5 + years React / Vue (Must be willing to learn Angular)

Note: Flexibility to hire at 100% Front end or Full Stack (60% Front end). Can also consider candidates who want to transition into more front end heavy role.

• Highly technical role and is suitable for senior / lead / staff / principal engineers to apply
• 8-10+ years total work experience (Front end / Full Stack)

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid with 3 days work from office
• Based in Bangsar South / KL Gateway (Close to MRT / LRT)
