I. JOB PURPOSE

The Middle and Senior Schools (MSS) French Teacher is responsible for delivering high‑quality educational programmes and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The teacher demonstrates initiative, leadership, flexibility, creativity, and a strong work ethic in contributing to the success of the School.

II. KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide an exemplary student‑centred, ICT‑rich learning experience for students in your care.
• Plan, programme and deliver high‑quality teaching and learning activities that are designed to meet the diverse needs within any class.
• Maintain a safe and secure educational environment, meeting appropriate standards of behaviour.
• Assess and report in line with the school’s expectations.
• Undertake tasks associated with the ongoing development of the school’s curriculum.
• Develop productive and respectful relationships with parents and colleagues to ensure effective learning for students at the School.
• Participate in professional growth.
• Contribute to the provision of a rich and diverse co‑curricular experience for students in the School.
• Consistently demonstrate the characteristics of an ‘Inspired and passionate AISM teacher’.
• Other duties as directed by the Principal or Head of School.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. BEHAVIOUR EXPECTATIONS

B. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Experienced in and capable of teaching a French language subjects across Middle and Senior School levels.
• Proven skills in designing, implementing and evaluating differentiated and inspirational learning experiences for students.
• Proven skills in using ICT to improve student engagement and learning.
• Knowledge and experience applying the principles of Visible Learning would be highly regarded.
• Expertise and experience leading/co‑coaching sports or co‑curricular activities.
• Spoken and written English is used for all school communications. As such, a high standard of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening is required to be successful in this position.

C. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or Degree in Speciality plus Diploma of Education.
• Current Teacher Registration in home country, including relevant Police Checks.

D. EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a relevant educational setting.
