Freight Manager - Salary up to MYR 11,000 based in Penang

The Freight Manager will serve as the organization's local in country, International Freight SME. Providing critical support to internal stakeholders, customers, and supply chain operations. As the country logistics expert, this role encompasses three key responsibilities: acting as the logistics single point of contact (SPOC) for the organization, supporting internal supply chain decision-making, and representing company's logistics to customers.

What will you Do ?

• In coordination with the global director, shipment level agent choices and oversees international logistics in that country. Involving internal and external roles.
• Supervise and manage a team of logistics and transportation professionals.
• Oversees and manages internal freight quotes and supervises shipment activity.
• Supports and coordinates Supply chain and other Malaysian Lines of Business freight movements, quoting and contracts.
• Address and resolve issues related to damaged or delayed shipments, as well as other logistics challenges.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, and suppliers.

Your Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's Degree can be advantageous for senior positions.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in international freight forwarding with at least two areas of specialization in freight forwarding, customs brokerage and logistics.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for optimizing freight operations and addressing challenges.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Must be willing to be based in Penang.
