Language: Malay Interpreter

As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between Malay and English speakers. The interpreter must process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner while ensuring a quiet and secure environment. Note pads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Malay
• Minimum 2-year interpretation experience preferred
• Excellent listening, retention, and note‑taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when requested or with permission of the client

Technical & VRI Requirements:

• Computer or Laptop
• Windows 10 or higher
• USB wired headset
• Steady wired internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload)
• Webcam
• Backdrop in a contrasting, solid color (e.g., royal blue, charcoal, or bright green)
