Job summary

Emerson Electric Co in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an FPGA Design Engineer to own the full digital design lifecycle—from logic implementation to timing analysis—and to collaborate with hardware teams on test and measurement products.

You will develop register maps, create documentation to show design intent, and drive board-level validation and prototype bring-up while communicating status and risks to the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• Strong digital logic design and synchronous timing knowledge.
• Experience with FPGA/CPLD and their design tools.
• Familiarity with VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the full FPGA design, including logic implementation, data movement, testbenches, and timing analysis.
• Develop register maps and documentation to convey design intent.
• Own digital board level design, including schematic entry and signal integrity considerations.
• Prototype hardware bring-up and board validation.
• Represent digital design in project meetings, estimating effort and communicating status.
