Job summary

Altera is seeking an experienced FPGA Development Tools Validation Technical Lead to drive validation strategy and execution for our FPGA development tools. You will lead a team, define comprehensive validation plans, and collaborate across software, architecture, and product marketing to ensure robust test coverage.

The role focuses on validation across synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and simulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of FPGA development, verification, or validation with software tools.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
• Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, design flows, and validation methodologies.
• Proven expertise with FPGA development tools from major vendors (Altera/Intel, Xilinx/AMD).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
• Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with Verilog/VHDL and simulation tools is a plus.
