Job description

This role supports accounting and reporting functions for Asia Pacific's project businesses operating out of Hong Kong and China, with emphasis on month‑end close, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The role suits an analytical and self‑driven accountant with strong Excel and ERP skills, capable of turning data into actionable business insights.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of flash reports, variance analyses, and management commentaries.
• Consolidate and interpret financial results for China and Hong Kong project entities.
• Prepare segment reporting, mid‑month estimates, and rolling forecasts.
• Ensure data integrity in ERP across AR, AP, and GL accounts.
• Own weekly liquidity planning and cash forecasting using large Excel datasets.
• Monitor daily bank balances and report to management.
• Manage and verify supplier payments through banking portal.
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, audit preparations, and tax reporting.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure audit readiness and compliance.

Support Responsibilities

• Support Hong Kong entity during month‑end close, journal postings, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with China entity to align reporting timelines and data accuracy.
• Update ERP weekly for AR/AP movements and prepare related‑party invoices or debit notes.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts as required.
• Maintain control schedules, including leave reconciliations and internal compliance checks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ similar experience.
• Proficient in ERP, Excel (advanced), and online banking system.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month‑end processes, and audit requirements.
