Job summary

Hyppies, a Malaysia-Singapore talent solutions firm, seeks the first engineering hire to own the AI and automation backbone end to end. You will architect, build, deploy, and monitor production systems, partnering with senior leadership on weekly ship cadences.

The goal is an AI-native, human-first platform that enhances consultants' productivity with a co-pilot, delivering measurable impact. You will shape data pipelines and APIs in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Shipped work: repos, pipelines or automations in real use.
• Python and integration fluency: APIs, data pipelines with production readiness.
• Real LLM experience: prompting, structured outputs, agent workflows.
• An outcome mindset: start from business problem and ship the simplest effective solution.
• A plus: outbound or growth engineering, enrichment pipelines, HR-tech or ATS/CRM ecosystems.

Responsibilities

The Company

The Role

You are our first engineering hire. You will build the AI and automation backbone of the firm and own it end to end - architecture, build, deployment, and performance in production.

The ambition is to build the very first Singularity organisation in our space: every consultant working as one unit with an AI co-pilot, and the systems you build carrying a measurable share of the firm's productivity. You'll work directly with senior leadership, on a weekly ship cadence, with short decision lines.

The problems you’ll solve

• Make our data live. Tens of thousands of candidate records to enrich, verify, deduplicate - and keep fresh automatically, so the database gets better every week instead of older
• Build the outreach engine. Automated, well-targeted, high-deliverability outreach where every reply is parsed and written back - outreach that enriches the data instead of exhausting it
• Predict and match. Models that tell us when a professional is ready for a move, and new ways to assess what talent can actually do
• Arm the consultants. A co-pilot covering sourcing, screening, matching and outreach - built with the people who use it daily, measured on the time it gives back

How we work with tools

• We are pragmatic. Managed APIs over self-hosting, proven services over custom builds, low-code where it wins, code where it matters. You choose the stack - and defend every choice with numbers: accuracy, cost, time saved. Candidate data is handled to PDPA standards from day one; trust is our product.

What we need to see

• Shipped work. The requirement that matters most: repos, products, pipelines or automations in real use. We assess what you've built - whether you learned it at university, in industry, or self-directed every single day
• Python and integration fluency. APIs, webhooks, data pipelines - at least one system taken from prototype to production and kept running
• Real LLM experience. You build with frontier model APIs - prompting, structured outputs, agent workflows - and you evaluate what you ship rather than trusting the demo
• An outcome mindset. You start from the business problem, ship the simplest thing that works, and iterate on evidence
• A plus: outbound or growth engineering, enrichment pipelines, HR-tech or ATS/CRM ecosystems, prediction models.

Performance objectives

• 30 days - first automations live inside the business, with baseline metrics
• 90 days - enrichment and outreach engine in production, refreshing candidate data autonomously
• 180 days - platform in beta with active users; co-pilot in every consultant's hands

Set with senior leadership, reviewed monthly. We work at AI-world speed and measure what ships.
