Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Foreman (Diagnostic & GR Tech) to join our team in Ipoh, Perak. As the Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and smooth operation of our automotive workshop, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing
  • Ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards
  • Scheduling and assigning work orders to the team, prioritising tasks based on customer needs and workshop capacity
  • Troubleshooting issues, identifying solutions and perform repairs for car issues
  • Ensuring the workshop adheres to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Liaising with customers & service advisors, providing updates on the status of the vehicles and addressing any concerns
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used and labour hours
  • Assisting in the training and development of junior mechanics and technicians
What we're looking for
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Tech or in a similar role in an automotive workshop
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
  • Proficient in using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to operate a range of vehicles
  • Familiarity with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
