Foreign Material Engineer (Defect Density / Cleanroom Contamination Control)

Your Responsibilities

Summary of the positions:

• Maintain/optimize FM control procedure and FM QIS System
• Audit Buy off FM high risk tool and area and highlight on any violation or incompliance observed
• Support tools re-layout and new material/ design change review/buy off
• Training/qualify new employee/FM coordinator
• Support WG/TF for process FM defects

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain FM system, station monitors and FA fingerprint database in order to maintain and sustain FM Management system to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and drive FM YIP roadmap with FM area leads to meet yield target roadmap.
• Manage and utilize the resources in area from Eng/Prod/Maintenance/Quality/Facility for FM improvement. Drive and coordinate all FM improvement activities from each area. This is to consistently drive FM improvement projects/ plan in every process and plant wide.
• FM related data with ORP linked to QIS to monitor and react the abnormal FM condition in production shop floor to provide timely alert/ ORP on abnormalities in production floor.
• Provide the FM analysis to identify the key area and priorities as a guidance and lead FM coordinator on key area and priorities.
• Improve the FM awareness of shop floor people to always ensure FM compliances.
• Daily line walk/Attend plant level2 weekly audit to find FM which impact production. This is to track related stakeholders’ analysis FM root cause, containment actions, preventive actions. etc. until FM been fixed.
• Make FM control plan for clean room construction/new line set up/machine move in/move out etc., monitor the whole process, highlight if there is any FM risk impact production, set up work group if need. Make sure no FM impact production during these activities in the clean room.
• New material FM qualification before used in clean room to ensure the material is well evaluated by engineering and certified to meet internal and customer requirements.
• Work closely with facility for clean room air particle monitor (include regular production monitor and special activities air particle monitor location define and monitor), coordinate related owner to take root cause analysis, containment actions, preventive actions in time.
• Keep air particle monitor result within control limit and stable cleanroom performance.
• Support facility for air particle regular update ICSc air particle control limit and make sure the control limit is reasonable to review air particle control limit in periodic basis.
• Attend Meetings with Customers, Suppliers and internal members. To consistently deliver and meeting customers’ expectation and requirements. To make sure supplier quality performance can meet team quality requirement with zero excursion.
• On site support FM related issue whenever needed to solve the FM related issue timely to minimize impact to process and product.
• Maintain FM related documents to ensure procedure compliances.
• Regular reporting to superior and other job assignment from superior to achieve the set target.
• Support others task assigned by superior which may beyond the R&R above if any.

Your Profile

• Degree of Science from university or higher technical college
• Knowledge of project management, data evaluation and design of experiments
• Knowledge of quality tools like SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, etc
• Good analytical skills with attention to details
• Good stress management skills
• 5-8 years of experience of direct, progressive experience in contamination control, cleanroom operations, or a close related field.
• Fluent written and oral English (Mandarin would be of advantage)
• Good knowledge about cleanroom operation system, HVAC and filtration.
