Cezars Kitchen is currently seeking an enthusiastic Food Safety Officer to support our team located at Batu Berendam, Melaka. The role reports directly to the Regional Safety & Compliance Manager in Malaysia and requires outstanding communication and time‑management skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and report findings/summaries to the Safety & Compliance team in the Head Office.
 
- Monitor CCP/HACCP protocols for each meal service, including food preparation, cleaning, storage, receiving of goods, and service lines.
 
- Take photographs of corrective actions and provide on‑the‑spot corrective actions to staff and the Onsite Manager.
 
- Enforce and uphold all relevant CK SOPs within the onsite operations.
 
- Be willing to learn, implement and train onsite staff simultaneously.
 
- Identify gaps and provide routine training on food safety for all onsite staff.
 
- Remind the team regularly of good hygiene practices and monitor compliance.
 
- Ensure employees follow all Food Safety and work‑safety practices as outlined by the client and our company.
 
- Provide a proactive approach toward safety by identifying and analyzing non‑conformities and developing corrective action plans in collaboration with the Onsite Manager, Operations Manager, and the client as required.
 
- Act as the focal point for incident management; lead, participate, and report any incidents.
 
- Monitor compliance of hygiene and food safety requirements from the purchase of raw materials to the service of meals.
 
- Check food temperature control throughout the kitchen.
 
- Regularly perform food safety inspections and audits.
 
- Actively participate in any external audits and inspections, following up and closing out all action plans.
 
- Strive to maintain a balance between client and company requirements and expectations.
 
- Participate and support any certification process such as HACCP, BeSS, ISO, etc., as required under the guidance of the Safety & Compliance Director.
 
Qualifications
- 2 years or more full‑time experience in Food Safety in large‑scale operations within food manufacturing, catering, or the industry sector.
 
- Any degree in Food Safety Technology or Occupational Safety is highly preferred.
 
- Food Safety qualifications such as HACCP, Food Safety and Hygiene, and Certified Food Handler.
 
- Preferred knowledge of ISO Audit, Halal, and KKM food safety certifications such as BeSS & Good Manufacturing Practice.
