A food manufacturing company in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking a Factory Manager to oversee daily production operations, ensure product quality, and manage warehouse activities. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience in food manufacturing and strong knowledge of food safety standards. This is a leadership role that requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet production targets and schedules.
Ensure consistent product quality and adherence to food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
Monitor key production KPIs (yield, downtime, efficiency) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate production shifts to maintain smooth 24/7 operations.
Manage and optimize maintenance, utilities, and equipment reliability to prevent production disruptions.
Oversee technical support functions, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.
Implement lean manufacturing practices and drive efficiency in all operational processes.
Oversee raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory management.
Ensure proper storage, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
Manage environmental facilities such as waste treatment, water, and energy management systems.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Drive sustainability initiatives and reduce operational environmental impact.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
Prepare and present operational reports, including production, quality, safety, and environmental performance.
Coordinate with senior management on strategy, planning, and operational improvements.
Act as the key point of contact for internal and external audits.
Bachelor’s degree in food technology, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in food manufacturing, including production, warehouse, and environmental management.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, lean manufacturing, and 24/7 operations management.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Exposure to manufacturing environment and production equipment.
