Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Flutter Mobile Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable mobile applications while mentoring engineers. This role combines hands-on Flutter work with technical leadership, collaborating with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams.

As a Flutter Tech Lead you will champion engineering best practices, oversee code reviews, and help shape architecture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production Flutter app experience.
• Strong Flutter and Dart expertise.
• RESTful API integration experience.
• Experience with state management frameworks (Bloc, Provider, Riverpod).
• Experience with SQLite or Hive databases.
• Git workflows, CI/CD and testing practices.
• Knowledge of secure mobile app development.
• Familiar with Agile or Scrum.
• Experience mentoring developers is a plus.
• Native Android or iOS knowledge is a plus.

Flutter Mobile Tech Lead | Lead Mobile Development

Are you an experienced Flutter developer ready to lead a high-performing mobile engineering team? We're looking for a Flutter Mobile Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern mobile applications while mentoring engineers and shaping technical best practices.

In this role, you'll combine hands-on Flutter development with technical leadership, working closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality mobile applications.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience building and deploying Flutter applications in production.
• Strong expertise in Flutter and Dart.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Strong knowledge of state management frameworks such as Bloc, Provider, Riverpod, or similar.
• Experience with mobile databases including SQLite or Hive.
• Familiar with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with unit testing, widget testing, and integration testing.
• Good understanding of secure mobile application development.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives is highly preferred.
• Native Android or iOS development knowledge is an added advantage.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and support the mobile development team to deliver high-quality applications.
• Promote engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Drive technical decisions and contribute to application architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Flutter applications for Android and iOS.
• Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into scalable, production-ready mobile features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry standards.
• Continuously optimise application performance, usability, and responsiveness.
• Work closely with product managers, backend developers, QA engineers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and project reviews.
• Ensure applications comply with App Store and Google Play policies and best practices.
• Support successful project delivery by resolving technical challenges and maintaining development momentum.

Quality & Innovation

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues through effective debugging and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and mobile architecture.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.
