Job summary

Nestlé Batu Tiga, Shah Alam, Selangor, invites applications for a First Line Manager to ensure safety, quality and asset performance while delivering the shift production plan. The role requires a degree in Food Science/Technology and 2–3 years in manufacturing or FMCG.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production or FMCG industries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely deployment of people development plan and enforce SOP compliance by all personnel on shift.
• Coach employees to fulfill and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach.
• Maintain clean and GMP-compliant working areas and installations.
• Check and enforce personnel hygiene and safety provisions (uniforms, shoes, hand washing).
• Support continuous improvement and employee involvement; drive for excellence with operators and staff.
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and teams to develop potential and meet NCE objectives.
• Ensure succession plans and development through training of direct reports.
• Ensure adequate distribution of skills to meet the production plan.
• Oversee timely launches of new products and maintain installations in coordination with quality, engineering and admin.

We are looking for a First Line Manager to ensure Employee Safety, Product Quality and Asset Performance while delivering on time the Shift Production Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely deployment of People development plan and assure the competencies of his/her team as per the agreed plan with PM (proper training inc. equipment, safety procedures, hygiene) Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the shift.
• Coach employees to fulfil and exceed the requirements of the job through NCE approach
• Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety e.g. protective clothing (uniform), shoe change & hand wash.
• Support in leading a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture through NCE approach. Drive for excellence and support operators and staff in their tasks.
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with NCE guidelines.
• Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training.
• Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable production plan to be achieved effectively.
• Ensure timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreed with the business unit.Ensure adequate maintenance of the installations in coordination with quality, engineering & administration.

We're Looking For

• Graduate of a Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent
• With 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production or FMCG industries
