Role Purpose
Perform the business technology function by ensuring effective and secured IT solutions and systems to support the financial and treasury management strategic outcomes of the department.
Principal Accountabilities
- System Management & Support
- Perform systems management and support of the financial and treasury systems to ensure effective and efficient operations of financial and its related systems in supporting the department strategic objectives.
- Perform comprehensive assessment on systems capability and integration impact for effective system solutions; including recommendation on system upgrade and other maintenance requirements.
- Ensure system controls are being implemented through periodic reviews of system audit trail, user access, and ongoing reviews of security requirements for critical systems e.g.: assessment on system hardening.
- Compile system issues/gaps, analyse the root cause and effectively ensure long term resolution of issues. Escalation of system exceptions has to be done as per the internal guidelines.
- User Management
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of data in department\'s respective databases.
- Effectively manage the static data and user profiles for the relevant systems.
- Project Management
- Plan, evaluate and monitor the implementation/progress of finance department\'s IT projects/enhancements in accordance with the department\'s objectives and deliverables.
- Perform timely and comprehensive review on project progress and deliverables and escalate to the stakeholders any issues that may adversely impact project direction and implementation.
- Integrate business requirements with IT infrastructure to ensure system deliverable as required by users.
- Risk Management and Controls
- Undertake regular review for process improvement and conduct periodic assessment on system-related risks for the department.
- Conduct comprehensive assessment on Business Continuity Plan especially for the critical systems and their related sub-systems in ensuring that the department is able to resume its critical business functions in the event of crisis.
- Ensure assigned systems/projects/initiatives comply to all required audit/governance standards.
Qualifications
Academic Qualification
Degree in Finance or Accounting or IT related field.
Experience
Experience in project management and dealing with investment/treasury and financial management systems is an added advantage.
