Job summary

Aurora Talent is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer (Contract) in Kuala Lumpur to manage fire protection design, loss prevention, and HSE activities for industrial and energy projects. You will lead design discussions, develop FSDP, and coordinate with M&E consultants and BOMBA for regulatory approvals.

Responsibilities include fire protection layout, detection system design, hydraulic calculations, and safety assessments such as HAZID/HAZOP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering design experience in fire protection or HSE.
• Experience with fire protection hydraulics, detection, and passive protection.
• Exposure to BOMBA submissions and regulatory interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design, reviews, and client coordination.
• Develop Fire Safety Design Philosophy and HSE design docs.
• Perform firewater demand, foam evaluation, and hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare layouts, specs, and passive fire protection schemes.
• Design fire and gas detection systems and diagrams.
• Review drawings and vendor docs for standards compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants for loss prevention studies.
• Support HSE studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, FERA).
• Assist during construction, testing, and regulatory inspections.
