Financial Operations Analyst (Rebates Collection)

Responsibilities
- Liaising with Transfer Agents (TA) and Fund Management Companies (FMC) for contract notes, statements, payments, and related firmware and platform fee queries on behalf of MFEX clients.
- Processing transaction commissions, reconciling follow‑ups, handling payments, and reporting for platform and trailer fees.
- Setting up trailer and platform fee agreements, calculations, reporting, payments, and conducting cash investigations using the in‑house Rebates Processing Client system.
- Maintaining data integrity within internal systems through validation and reconciliation of source data from TA/FMC, counterparts, and business service applications.
- Providing high‑quality service, answering enquiries, and resolving problems with TAs, advisors, and custodians.
- Identifying and implementing operational improvements and automation opportunities.
- Challenging non‑standard or exception‑based processes to ensure thorough risk assessment and appropriate controls before implementation.
- Participating in projects and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required.
- Partnering with internal teams and business stakeholders to develop effective solutions and innovate service capabilities.
- Ensuring all activities are completed within agreed time frames and to a high‑quality standard.
- Completing other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of industry experience in financial services operations, with a strong understanding of investment operations and operational excellence.
- Proficient in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills; additional language proficiency is preferred.
- Well‑developed organizational and critical‑thinking skills to resolve complex day‑to‑day issues independently.
- Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with sub‑custodians and both internal and external departments.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent accuracy; a strong understanding of mutual funds and hedge funds is strongly recommended.
