Qualifications

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data & Reporting team. In this role, you will bridge finance expertise with data analytics to deliver accurate, insightful, and scalable reporting. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Account Management, Operations, and Sales to gather requirements, design reporting solutions, and drive informed decision-making across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone with strong financial knowledge (accounting/audit/FP&A background) combined with technical expertise in data analysis, BI tools and automation.

As a Financial Data Analyst, you will:
  • Financial & Data Analysis
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards for P&L, budgets, forecasts, tax submissions, reconciliation and cost analysis
  • Collaborate with Finance team to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and reporting readiness
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities
  • Automate and streamline manual reporting processes
  • Reporting Development & Documentation
  • Design and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance and other business functions
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders including C-suite executives on ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and to translate business requirements into clear reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers & other Data Analysts to ensure data availability, accuracy, and consistency across various reports
  • Maintain documentation of business requirements, data mappings, and reporting processes. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs
  • Stakeholder Management, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Communicate findings, implications, and recommendations effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels
  • Validate reports through rigorous testing for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team-wide best practices
Requirements
  • 5-8 years experience in financial reporting, finance data analysis, or audit/accounting analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data/Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and accounting principles
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Proficient in SQL for data exploration, extraction, and analysis
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Adaptable to fast-moving environments and competing priorities
  • Experience in the payments industry is an advantage, although not mandatory
