Job summary

Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full spectrum of accounting, budgeting, and reporting functions. You will prepare comprehensive financial statements, coordinate external audits, and provide analytical insights to support management decisions.

The role requires at least five years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of GAAP/MPERS/MPSAS, and the ability to work with auditors, banks, and tax authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
• Bachelors with ACCA/CPA/MIA/CIMA qualifications are advantageous.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in MNCs, audit field or Big Four is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, MPERS, MPSAS, and tax laws.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum of financial and accounting functions including GL, AP/AR.
• Prepare monthly/annual financial reports like P/L, balance sheets, cash flow.
• Prepare audited FS, notes to accounts, and audit schedules; coordinate audits.
• Analyze financial data and present insightful reports to Management.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, and monitor against approved budgets.
• Monitor cash flow and liaise with auditors, banks, tax agents and regulators.
• Recommend improvements in financial processes and internal controls.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial and accounting assignments as required.
