This role leads Finance, Controlling, and IT for the company, based in Rayong Thailand, with frequent travel required to Malaysia. The regional scope covers two production facilities—one in Thailand and one in Malaysia—together generating approximately EUR 40 million in net sales, with strong expected growth in the coming years.
Accountabilities
The position holder will be responsible for:
- Leading and overseeing all internal financial functions, including program controlling and costing, management accounting, taxation, internal controls, business planning, monthly and annual closings, budgeting/rolling forecasts, and risk management.
- Maintaining and optimizing financial processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate accounting records.
- Working with Group Accounting and being familiar with IFRS standards.
- Developing a solid understanding of exhaust manufacturing products and business processes following training.
- Ensuring efficient CAPEX and Working Capital management.
- Driving operational improvement projects and supporting footprint expansion by providing reliable business planning.
- Working with and facilitating cross-functional teams; supporting managers and executives in understanding costing and cost control, and being deeply involved in VAVE activities.
- Closely cooperating with peers in global networks and divisional controlling functions.
- Ensuring that all financial and operational systems deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful data (reports, commentary, KPIs, etc.) to support management decision-making.
- Ensuring timely reporting to parent companies and preparing monthly earnings calls.
- Monitoring and analyzing financial data to highlight company performance and potential risks, and proactively seeking business improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Ensuring business operations comply with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Leading the IT and ERP team.
- Leading the Purchasing team to drive supplier negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic procurement activities.
- Liaising with government authorities regarding finance and accounting matters when required.
- Providing leadership to coach, motivate, and further develop team members.
Professional Background / Qualifications / Experience
- Over 10 years of experience in financial and controlling management, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems; hands-on experience with Oracle or SAP is an advantage.
- High intercultural competence, with experience working in Thailand and Malaysia.
- Strong logical and analytical reasoning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels, both locally and internationally.
- Demonstrates entrepreneurial mindset; mature, assertive, and operates with high integrity.
- Strong leadership abilities with a coaching-focused leadership style.
- Able to speak Mandarin and English
