Job description

Role Overview

Senior management position to lead the finance department, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger, inventory costing, accounts payable and receivable.
• Optimize liquidity through cash flow forecasting, treasury routines and banking cooperation.
• Advocate digital adoption of operating routines for efficiency and data integrity.
• Develop and improve policies and procedures as the business evolves.
• Project budgeting: oversee project cost budgeting for price quotations to customers, review cost down measures, track spending, and recommend rectifications.
• Financial reporting, planning and analysis: prepare and present financial statements, analyse data to provide insights to management, develop forecasts and budgets, and report data to support business control and review.
• Compliance and controls: ensure financial operations comply with accounting standards, regulations and legislation; coordinate with external auditors; manage tax matters; oversee general corporate compliance matters.
• Strategic and leadership functions: contribute to the company’s financial strategy and direction; collaborate with the leadership team; lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance to direct reports; participate in corporate exercises as needed.

Qualifications
