The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory and tax requirements, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role supports the Singapore Funds division by managing budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, while partnering with business stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and financial performance. The position also oversees collaboration with the Shared Service Centre, supports audits, and contributes to strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide finance and reporting support primarily for the Singapore Funds division, ensuring full compliance with local statutory, tax, and filing requirements.
  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial estimates.
  • Deliver accurate reporting and analysis (both standard and ad hoc), ensuring adherence to Group reporting standards and offering insights into divisional performance.
  • Partner with business managers to drive performance through regular, data-driven analytics.
  • Collaborate with the GSC to maintain effective finance operations and compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, while retaining financial controllership within the local team.
  • Review monthly P&L and balance sheet for all Funds.
  • Validate monthly revenue accruals to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue recognition.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with quarterly GST submissions and annual tax filings.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and interests.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects aimed at improving process efficiency and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy / ACCA
  • Qualified Accountant, preferably with ISCA
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience. Experience in audit firm would be a plus but not compulsory
  • Good local accounting knowledge and tax filing experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • An eye for details
  • Self‑motivated, hands‑on with a high degree of commitment to meet deadlines, targets and objectives
