YOUR ROLE

You take part in delivering Financial Closing & Reporting activities for global entities within our GBS Record-to-Report Function.

  • Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned entities or business units are delivered timely and accurately on closing deadlines
  • Review and approve manual journal entries and key reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
  • Review the reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts on regular basis to ensure substantiation and validity
  • Review and analyse the movement of Balance Sheet and P&L month on month and quarter on quarter to ensure unusual movement or fluctuation of financial balances being identified and addressed in timely manner
  • Ensure general ledger accounting’s integrity and accuracy in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal policies to facilitate accuracy of effective tax computation between tax accounting and book accounting.
  • Coordinate intercompany transactions and ensure accurate eliminations and reconciliations.
  • Provide guidance, support, and advice to R2R professionals on accounting related matters.
  • Liaison with external audits to review the schedules and documentation to finalise financial statement on due time.
  • Support the documentation of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX)
  • Identify areas for improvement in the R2R process and contribute to standardization and automation initiatives.
  • Act as a point of contact for GBS and internal stakeholders, including Business Controller, FP&A, Tax, and other finance functions for assigned entities.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in a shared service center or multinational corporation is highly preferred
  • 6–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in financial review and controlling role.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial close processes with strong sense of accounting practices
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exposure to SOX compliance or internal control frameworks
