Overview

The Financial Accountant will oversee critical financial reporting and analysis tasks to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes. This role in the retail industry is ideal for professionals who thrive in a structured environment and enjoy contributing to the success of a team.

Description
  • Oversee month-end closing and group reporting, including transition from local GL to HFM
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Handle various accounting tasks and journal entries
  • Prepare SOX control workpapers for in-scope controls
  • Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting and fixed assets
  • Oversee DCC outsourced business revenue and cost of sales processes and analysis
  • Support FP&A analysis and reviews
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required
Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the retail industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
