Job summary

A prominent finance service provider in Malaysia seeks an experienced Finance Operations Manager to oversee OTC and P2P functions. This role involves leading a team of over 40, ensuring compliance with financial processes, and driving operational excellence through automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess at least 8 years of experience in a finance shared service environment and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. The position is critical in enhancing processes as the service center scales for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in a Finance Shared Service Centre.
  • Minimum 3 years of lead experience in finance operations.
  • Audit experience is an added advantage.

Reporting to the HQ of Head of Finance, APAC, with a dotted-line reporting to the Group FSSC Operations Manager, this role will oversee the day-to-day operations of the OTC and P2P functions within the Finance Shared Service Centre, leading a team of more than 40. The team is responsible for end-to-end AR, AP and GL transaction processing across multiple APAC markets, ensuring that all activities are executed accurately and in full compliance with both statutory requirements and internal policies and procedures. The role will drive operational excellence by championing process efficiencies, service delivery improvements, and automation initiatives such as RPA, while also supporting system implementations as needed. As the SSC is still in a relatively early stage of its development, this position will play a key role in strengthening its foundation—identifying process gaps, enhancing controls and compliance, and building the capability and readiness of the SSC to scale and support future growth.

Job Requirements
  • Min bachelor’s degree in accountancy or ACCA qualified
  • Min 8 years relevant working experience in a Finance SSC, with min 3 years of Lead experience
  • Audit experience will be an added advantage
  • People management experience
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Fluency in other languages will be an add advantage
  • Excellent communication and people development skills
