Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in financial reporting, month-end closing, management accounting, and statutory reporting.

The role ensures compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia requirements, and maintains accurate financial records, including GL reconciliations, intercompany activity, and tax support. Collaboration with auditors and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA or MIA) are advantageous.
• 4–6 years of relevant GL, financial reporting or related experience.
• Audit exposure is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
• Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia reporting and MFRS 134 is beneficial.
• Proficient with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 BC) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities with timely reporting.
• Perform GL reconciliations and ensure schedules are accurate and supported.
• Prepare quarterly financial reports and schedules per MFRS and Bursa Malaysia.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis.
• Handle intercompany and related-party reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare working papers and support SST, WHT, stamp duty, CP204, and e‑Invoicing.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors and tax agents during audits.
• Support development of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Provide financial and reporting support to Finance Manager; contribute to finance function efficiency.
