  • Audit experience is an added advantage.

About the role

In this role, the manager is expected to oversee and work with the respective team leads on the day-to-day operations of the Finance Shared Service Centre out of the KL office with a team of 40 to 50 Finance Associates responsible for O2C, P2P, R2R, and P2P transactions for 6–8 countries in APAC. Given the relatively new establishment of the SSC, the manager acts as a champion for it and is expected to identify areas of improvement in terms of processes, compile with Fugro’s compliance policies, and drive readiness of the SSC to take over more financial activities from local finance to the KL SSC in the long run.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Finance, APAC, with a dotted line to the Group FSSC Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee SSC and work closely with the team leads in O2C, P2P, R2R, and P2P activities.
  • Ensure accounting of transactions is compliant with Fugro Internal Control System (ICS) and external (statutory) and internal policies/procedures.
  • Deliver high quality of service while complying with all standards and shared services blueprints.
  • Champion operational efficiencies and service improvement initiatives such as RPAs.
  • Manage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Involve in onboarding and training of the in‑house new ERP system.
  • Manage FSSC personnel, including manpower planning and staff development.
  • Oversee account management of entities serviced by FSSC.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
About you
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accountancy or ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in an SSC, at least 3 years of Lead experience.
  • Audit experience will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent English language skills; fluency in other languages will be an additional advantage.
  • Excellent communication and people development skills.
  • Competencies: accurate, analytical, independent, organized, pro‑active, service‑minded, team player.
  • Self‑starter who does not mind getting operationally involved.
  • Proactive and approach to work.
