Job summary

A construction company in Shah Alam is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. Job description
Responsibilities

Handling full set account, directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transaction related to general ledger, receivables, payable, cash flow, budgeting, bank reconciliation, payroll and financial reporting.

Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular financial status reports to senior management

Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs

Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.

Manage and review monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Manage and coordinate tax schedules, returns and information

Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required government, payroll, property and other applicable taxes

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation or other accounting related fields.
  • At least 15 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably someone with previous experience in construction firm
  • Good technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Independent, self discipline and self motivated
  • Possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Good financial reporting skills that is timely, accurate and concise
  • Hands-on, strong attention to details and process oriented individual
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and SQL accounting software
