We are looking for a steady, dependable Account Manager to oversee the accounting and finance operations of two established Chinese restaurant outlets, each supported by an experienced Account Executive.
This role is suited for someone who values accuracy, consistency, and continuity, and who prefers a well-defined scope and long-term responsibility over rapid career progression.
Responsibilities
- Core Accounting Oversight
- Review and finalise monthly accounts prepared by the Account Executives.
- Ensure accurate recording of daily sales, cash collections, supplier invoices, and expenses.
- Maintain consistency in accounting treatment and reporting across both outlets.
- Ensure timely month-end closing with minimal surprises.
- Prepare monthly financial consolidation for the 2 entities for Group reporting to HQ.
- Taking minutes in the shareholders meeting.
- Controls & Compliance
- Maintain strong internal controls over cash, inventory, and payments.
- Review bank reconciliations, AP/AR schedules, and journals.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SST, e-invoice, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external parties when required.
- Operational Support
- Work closely with Head Chef and Restaurant Managers to monitor food cost, labour cost, and key expense items.
- Coordinate and oversee stock counts and ensure inventory discrepancies are investigated and accounted for.
- Track margins and flag unusual variances in a clear, practical manner.
- Support budgeting and routine forecasting without over-complexity.
- Handle ad-hoc finance and accounting queries from management and HQ.
- Team Supervision
- Provide steady guidance and review for the two Account Executives.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and on time rather than rushed.
- Act as a dependable point of reference for accounting-related matters.
- Process Consistency
- Maintain established accounting and POS processes.
- Introduce improvements only when necessary and practical.
- Ensure documentation and handover processes are well maintained.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in F&B / restaurant / retail accounting is highly preferred.
- Comfortable overseeing operations without seeking rapid role expansion.
- Solid accounting fundamentals.
- Familiar with POS reconciliations and inventory tracking.
- Competent in Excel and accounting systems.
