The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in commercial finance, proficiency in English and Mandarin, and strong technical skills in tools like Excel. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial finance or from a reputable Accounting firm.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in team management.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin with the ability to draft professional reports.
  • Strong technical skills with high proficiency in automation tools.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and review financial accounting and closing processes to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, including budget reviews, and performance insights, to support management decision making and improve the company’s financial and operational performance.
  • Lead annual financial forecasting by developing scenario-based models, collaborating cross-functionally to align projections with operational and market realities.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial planning and analysis to evaluate business expansion opportunities and align initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Continuously improve and optimize financial workflows by leveraging existing technology tools and automation to increase efficiency.
  • Support tax planning, preparation, and filing activities, collaborating with external tax agents.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements in both Malaysia and China.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage external audit processes.
  • Support investor reporting and shareholder communications.
  • Assist Finance Director in reviewing financial operations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial finance or from a reputable Accounting firm.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in team management.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is a must, with demonstrated ability to draft and review both English and Chinese reports/analyses, and communicate complex ideas fluently in professional settings.
  • Strong technical skills, including process setup and high proficiency in Excel, PPT or other automation tools.
  • Meticulous, well-organized, and detail-oriented, even in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of leading cross functional finance initiatives, including business units (e.g., Sales, Procurement, Operations); and coordinating with external advisors (e.g., auditors, tax agents, lawyers).
