Job description
Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to manage day-to-day financial operations across our African business units. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, operationally strong, and comfortable working directly with on-ground teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting, compliance, and process efficiency.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being involved in the execution — not just planning — and has prior experience working with SAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily finance operations, including accounting, reporting, and reconciliations across multiple African entities.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly management reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure timely month-end closings and compliance with local accounting, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital to support ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure proper cost tracking and control.
  • Support external audits and ensure strong internal controls are maintained.
  • Work closely with regional and HQ finance teams to ensure accurate consolidation and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency using SAP.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of hands‑on finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, trading, or FMCG environment.
  • Strong operational finance background — comfortable with both transactional work and analysis.
  • Proficiency in SAP (mandatory), with experience in financial modules (FI/CO) preferred.
  • Solid understanding of local tax, audit, and regulatory frameworks across African markets is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
