💼 Finance Manager (6-Month Contract, Extendable for Another 6 Months) - Leading Insurer | Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract (6 months, extendable for another 6 months)
Industry: Insurance / Financial Services / Shared Services
Budget: Up to MYR 18,000 per month, depending on experience
Start Date: Immediate to December starters preferred

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for business units.

  • Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and Group Finance.

  • Support tax and regulatory compliance requirements as needed.

  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

  • Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or CIMA) preferred.

  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, or finance management within shared services, MNC, or insurance / financial services environment.

  • Proficient in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems, with working knowledge of Power BI or reporting tools.

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, variance analysis, and statutory accounting.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Available to start on short notice or within the month.
