Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team at Bandar Sunway, Selangor. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic insight to support management decisions within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities include overseeing receivables and credit, payables, payroll, and fixed assets, with experience in JDE/Opera and Excel.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• At least 8 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee accounts receivable and credit operations, ensure timely billing and collections, and manage credit risk.
• Manage accounts payable end-to-end with compliance to tax regulations and internal controls.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing in line with statutory requirements and company policy.
• Maintain fixed assets records, acquisitions and disposals, and depreciation schedules.

About the role We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our finance team at our Bandar Sunway Selangor location. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to drive financial excellence and strategic planning within a dynamic hospitality environment. As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing effective financial controls and providing critical insights to support management decision-making. This position reports to the Senior Finance leadership and is fundamental to the financial health and operational success of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.

Key responsibilities

Account Receivable & Credit

Supervise accounts receivable and credit operations, ensuring billing accuracy, timely collections, effective dispute resolution, while maintaining optimal credit sales days

Enforce company credit policies and monitor credit risk.

Conduct monthly credit review meetings to evaluate outstanding accounts, analyze aging reports, and develop targeted strategies for collections and credit risk management.

Manage legal matters related to overdue receivables and collections, coordinating with legal counsel as necessary to ensure effective recovery of outstanding debts.

Account Payable

Responsible for managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, while maintaining full compliance with company policies and applicable tax regulations, including Withholding Tax (WHT) and Sales and Service Tax (SST)

Ensures strong internal controls are in place to maintain compliance with company policies and contractual agreements, and to support audit readiness.

Payroll Management

Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, labor laws, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Fixed Assets Management

Maintain accurate records and manage acquisitions/disposals. Ensure records are updated

What we're looking for

Qualifications

A degree holder or equivalent or working experience in accounting / finance at least 8 years.

6 years working experience, which is a minimum of 3 years in managerial position. Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA (preferred)

Experience

Experienced in hospitality industry, familiarized with JDE/Opera

Familiar with Microsoft Excel
