Scope

The main purpose of hiring a Finance Manager for the plastics packaging industry is to ensure the company's financial health and stability by overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This includes managing budgeting and forecasting, optimizing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, providing strategic financial guidance, and supporting decision‑making to enhance profitability and growth. The Finance Manager plays a critical role in maximizing resource allocation, cost management, and financial performance, which are essential for maintaining competitive advantage and achieving long‑term business objectives in the dynamic and competitive plastics packaging market.

Responsibilities

As a Finance Manager, you will be working Monday to Friday, to

  • Ensuring the Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) functions properly.
  • General accounting oversight and analysis. Set up procedures, internal control, and systems to ensure the timely & accuracy of deliverables.
  • Liaise with external parties like banks, customs, sales tax, auditors, company secretaries, insurance company’s lawyers, etc.
  • Plan, implement, and supervise the company’s financial strategy.
  • Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls and utilities, treasury and budget, cash receipts, month/year‑end process, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, debt activity, trust account statement reconciliations, and financial assets.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide recommendations.
  • Tax and company secretarial matters.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assist the Finance Controller in other duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skill
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting/finance/Cost Accounting or Minimum Diploma Holder.
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Dynamic 365 will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5‑8 years of working experience in Accounts Payable or any other accounting function.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Excel Advanced.
  • Experience with ERP systems is required, experience using SAP will be an advantage.
  • Well‑organized and focused with the ability to be able to cope with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
