Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated financial professional to oversee financial reporting and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accountancy, MIA or ACCA qualification, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, conducting financial analysis, managing tax submissions, and ensuring compliance with local standards. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Description
  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and financial information to internal and external parties
  • Preparation of financial analysis and identification of major variances
  • Prepare and update group reporting requirements (immediate holding/holding) including simple consolidation
  • Prepare tax estimate and tax schedule for tax submission; familiar with deferred tax computation
  • Preparation of budgets and budgetary controls
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with subgroup (business units and inter‑department) team on key issues
  • Ability to liaise with external auditors/tax agents/authorities when required
  • Familiar with balance sheet reconciliations, journal booking, GL entries
  • Compliance with Group SOPs, policies, and internal controls
  • To carry out any other duties as directed by the Company Management
  • Participate in continuous process improvement projects and plans
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
Job Requirements
  • Possess Degree in Accountancy or Professional qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years and above in corporate and financial reporting work
  • Familiar with local Accounting Standards and Taxation
  • IT literate with strong knowledge in Office Power Point presentation and MS Excel skills
  • Must have MIA or ACCA
  • Meticulous and strong in business and logical sense
  • Analytical mind with the ability to work independently
  • Manage to work under tight deadlines and cope with work pressure
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Added advantage - from Manufacturing background / experience in audit
