Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance manager to lead the accounting and finance departments. The role requires overseeing compliance with tax laws and accounting principles, recruiting and training staff, and preparing budgets. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Finance/Accounting or a professional qualification, along with ten years of relevant experience, including five in a management position. Proficiency in SAP and strong communication skills in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years of accounting and financial experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience in accounting firms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and finance departments and ensure the company complies with tax laws and accounting principles
• Plan, recruit, and train personnel for accounting and finance departments
• Analyze reports and hold regular meetings with company management
• Plan, promote, and prepare budgets
• Communicate on tax incentives and prepare tax exemption calculation reports
• Establish various accounting and internal control systems
• ERP planning and implementation

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc.)
2. 10 years of accounting and financial experience, at least 5 years in managerial role
3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations, with financial analysis and budgeting skills.
4. Familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations and reporting requirements
5. Proficiency in finance or accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
6. Experience in accounting firms is preferred
7. Experience with SAP accounting software will be added advantage
8. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia (need to deal with Taiwan counterpart)
