Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is looking for a finance professional to manage accounting operations and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of finance experience, especially in manufacturing and cost accounting, along with proficiency in Mandarin to communicate with stakeholders. Responsibilities also include handling tax matters, liaising with auditors, and supporting financial decisions. Candidates must be willing to attend training in China and possess familiarity with SAP or MES systems.

Job description

Responsible for the company’s full set of accounting operations, including daily bookkeeping, organizing and filing of original vouchers, asset management, and inventory checks.

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and submit them to the group.

Handle the company’s business registration and tax-related matters, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all submissions.

Responsible for product cost accounting and cost analysis; identify issues and propose improvement measures.

Assist in company budgeting, monitor deviations, make dynamic adjustments, and report to the group.

Liaise with group auditors for quarterly, semi-annual, and annual audits; manage statutory annual audits and submissions to relevant local authorities.

Assist in establishing and improving internal control systems to ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.

Conduct basic financial analysis to support business decisions.

Work closely with other departments (such as production, procurement, and sales) to ensure alignment between financial activities and business objectives.

Assist superiors and the group company in completing other related tasks.

Job Requirements:

At least 5 years of full-spectrum finance experience in Malaysia; familiar with SAP or MES systems preferred.

Experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting; experience in the semiconductor/chip industry preferred.

Experienced in handling business registration and tax filing matters.

Experience in financial setup during the early stage of a newly established company.

Able to attend 1 to 2 weeks on-site training at the headquarters in China.

Proficiency in Mandarin as a working language.
