Job description

Responsibilities

Review monthly financial and management reporting including income statement, balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger, debtors and creditors aging report and other required schedules (e.g. bank reconciliation, notes to account, fixed asset schedules, etc).

• Review monthly operating results against forecast and budget (variances).

Responsible for Account Payable and Account Receivable functions

• Monitor the team on the AP & AR processes including monitoring credit control and collection due, review of official receipts, payment vouchers, journals, debit notes and credit notes.
• Review and ensure supporting entries/documents and resolving discrepancies, if any.
• Review weekly creditors and debtors’ reconciliation for all accounts.
• Review monthly payment report (ensuring the team has all payment vouchers and supporting documents properly verified and approved according to company’s policies).

Review weekly cashflow forecast and assist senior manager in cash flow management.

Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agent, company secretary and other regulatory bodies

• Review and lead annual financial audit.
• Review tax computation for IRBM filing.

Banking matters

• Review documentation for trade finance – Invoice Financing and update Bank Borrowing Report.

Inventory management

• Review dealer allocation for all division for monthly sales
• Ensure the team has vehicle purchase recorded and take in accordingly
• Review and coordinate year-end stock take exercise.

Collaboration with operation team: Work closely with operations team to obtain information required for monthly management reporting, collections and payments.

Annual Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting Activities

• Review annual budget/monthly forecast
• Understanding key indicator of the budget/forecast and analyse any key variances between actual and budget/forecast.

Lead and guide new team member.

Any other ad-hoc related tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Finance / Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MACPA, or equivalent)
2. Self-motivated and ability to multi-task and work independently.
3. Responsible, possess positive working attitude, time management skill and can meet deadlines.
4. Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
5. Detailed oriented.
6. Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications, especially in excel.
