Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly financial reporting process.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements with accuracy and on timely basis to meet deadlines.
• Analyze company’s financial performance.
• Manage company’s cashflow.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Deal with the company’s internal and external auditors, tax agents and legal matters.
• Ensure internal controls are in place.
• Responsible for the integrity, accuracy and efficiency of the company’s accounting system.
• Manage subordinates in terms of effectiveness, development and performance, foster teamwork and high-quality deliverables.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Ensure monthly management reports and annual financial statements
• Assist the Financial Controller with the monthly reporting duties and to support financial decision making.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or holding a recognized tertiary accounting qualification.
• Preferably member of a professional accounting body ACCA, CPA, CA or CIMA.

Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing industry, with 3 years holding Finance management role.
• Proven ability to contribute and work in a self‑managed team environment.
• Proven ability to work within an organization with matrix reporting line.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people at all levels of the business.
• Preference for the achievement of good internal and external audit ratings/reports.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement initiative in the Finance Department.
