Job description

ServAuto is building Southeast Asia’s most trusted car service platform. We go beyond just car maintenance—we’re building a new automotive ecosystem that connects curated workshops, premium car products, and data‑driven customer journeys. Whether it’s oil changes, tinting, or accessories, we deliver quality service without pushy upsells, confusing pricing, or waiting in line.

Our mission is to make car care transparent, efficient, and trustworthy. With aggressive growth across digital and physical channels, we’re looking for a finance leader who can turn operational chaos into structured scale—while ensuring we stay lean, compliant, and investment‑ready.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands‑on, systems‑driven Finance Manager to lead all financial operations, including accounting, payables/receivables, cash flow, tax, audit, and cross‑border compliance. You’ll work closely with the CEO and department heads to build a scalable, data‑backed finance engine that supports our rapid growth.

This role is ideal for someone who can balance structure with speed—someone who thrives in an environment where financial clarity powers daily execution, and systems get smarter over time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the End‑to‑End Finance Stack

Oversee the full accounting cycle, from daily entries to monthly closing

Ensure accuracy and timeliness in AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and platform settlements

Build and enforce financial SOPs across procurement, payments, and reporting

2. Drive Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

Collaborate with teams to build departmental budgets and track spending

Monitor cash flow, manage reserves, and anticipate capital requirements

Provide actionable financial insights for strategic decision‑making

3. Ensure Tax, Compliance & Audit Readiness

Lead preparation for annual audit, statutory filings, and tax submissions

Work with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary to ensure clean reporting

Structure cross‑border transactions (e.g. RMB‑MYR) to ensure regulatory alignment

4. Systemize and Automate Where Possible

Optimize our use of AutoCount and other finance tools for efficiency and accuracy

Identify gaps in data flows and propose automation or workflows to close them

Maintain clean, scalable financial data for investor reporting and fundraising

5. Lead and Grow the Finance Team

Manage and mentor 2+ finance executives (AP/AR), drive ownership and accountability

Set up team KPIs, review cycles, and workload balancing mechanisms

Build a high‑trust finance culture that supports the pace of a startup

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA preferred

5+ years of full‑spectrum finance experience; at least 2 years in a leadership role

Proficient in accounting software (AutoCount, Xero, etc.); Excel ninja‑level skills

Experience in eCommerce, FMCG, or service‑based business preferred

Strong understanding of Malaysian tax and compliance frameworks

Bonus: Experience managing cross‑border transactions (MYR–RMB)

High ownership, process thinker, comfortable building from 0 → 1
