Financial Planning and Reporting
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor budget performance and implement cost control measures.
- Participate in business expansion forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including presentation slides for financial performance.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision‑making.
- Check and verify accuracy of intercompany transactions.
- Perform monthly consolidation reporting for associate, joint venture and subsidiary accounts.
- Ensure timely reporting for quarterly financial report to be tabled at Board of Directors’ meeting and announcement in Bursa Malaysia.
Treasury and Cash Management
- Plan, track and manage cash and bank balances for operating accounts, and oversee cash planning of the hospital, including patient refund procedures.
- Lead the chief cashiering function and ensure compliance with hospital SOP.
- Perform cash flow projection for the organization.
Cost Management
- Monitor operational expenses and identify areas for financial efficiency without compromising quality of care.
- Conduct cost‑benefit analyses for new equipment, services, and investments.
- Perform pricing, package, and cost analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation and cost rationalization before approving any payment.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit processes.
- Communicate with company secretary to ensure compliance with Companies Act or listing requirement related matters.
- Coordinate with tax agent to ensure tax submission and compliance with tax related matters.
- Manage and mentor the finance team to maintain high performance and accountability.
- Liaise with external parties such as internal auditor, external auditor, banker, government authorities, company secretary, etc.
- Provide appropriate on‑job training and guidance to subordinates.
- Responsible to be engaged in the department and hospital quality indicators.
- Oversee financial aspects of vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure timely payments and assess the financial implications of contract terms.
Inventory and Consignment Management
- Take lead of stock take activities (quarterly, half yearly, yearly).
- Manage inventory turnover daily.
- Ensure compliance and accurate reporting for consignment items.
Fixed Asset Management
- Maintain proper recording for fixed asset register including additional and disposal entries.
- Ensure accurate reporting of monthly depreciation and reclassification of work in progress in timely manner.
- Exercise budgetary control on CAPEX items.
Other Duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.
