Finance Manager

A Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of an organization through accurate reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. This role also ensures that financial operations align with business goals and regulatory standards and provides strategic financial guidance to support business objectives and project success.

Financial Strategy

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

Advise the Managing Director on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment opportunities.

Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and business growth.

Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

Monitor financial performance and prepare timely management reports for decision‑making.

Identify and analyze trends, variances, and risks to support strategic decisions.

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and financial reporting functions.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.

Establish and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Manage risks related to finance, investments, and operations.

Implement policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity and accountability.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

Oversee liquidity management, working capital optimization, and funding requirements.

Manage banking relationships and capital structure (debt/equity financing).

Ensure effective cash flow planning and control.

Tax Compliance

Manage tax planning, compliance, and filing, while liaising with external tax advisors and auditors.

Lead annual statutory audit and internal audit processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare and present timely financial reports and management accounts.

Conduct variance analysis, profitability studies, and cost management initiatives.

Review project performance, including delays, cost overruns, and margin variances.

Provide cash flow projections and liquidity management.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to support business needs.

Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent).
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, M&A and corporate governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen.
