Job summary

Glory Global in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Finance professional to support local management with financial analysis, budgeting and decision support. The role covers AP, AR, GL, Inventory and Fixed Assets, plus Orders to Cash, with responsibility for month-end closes and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a similar capacity, a Bachelor’s in Accounting and CPA/ACCA, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in a similar capacity
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA or ACCA
• Experience with month-end closing under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Malaysia statutory reporting (audit, tax, sales tax)
• Revenue recognition and lease accounting knowledge
• Process improvement for internal controls and efficiency
• Experience in accounts receivable and cash flows management
• Inventory management experience
• Budgeting and forecasting experience advantageous
• Audit firm exposure is advantageous
• Team development and change management experience
• Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, GL, Inventory, Fixed assets)
• Manage orders-to-cash with credit limits and invoicing
• Analyze excess and aging inventory and optimize stock
• Ensure statutory accounting and tax compliance with monthly reconciliations
• Lead month-end close; review journals, reconciliations, reports and KPIs
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with operations to close audit actions
• Champion ERP system to improve finance processes and efficiency
• Monitor revenue and overheads; propose corrective actions
• Assist in budgeting and forecasts to improve accuracy
• Develop the team for morale and productivity in a customer-focused mindset
• Support overall business strategic initiatives
• Finance lead on key projects and change management
